Mark Boothroyd

Mark Boothroyd is a recent high school graduate from Lisgar Collegiate Institute. His interest in physics started at an early age budding from his love of sci-fi stories and games. He completed an AP Research project on solar sails and optical lift during his last year of high-school under mentorship from Professor Ebrahim Karimi and graduate student Alicia Sit. He is currently working as a volunteer researcher with the SQO group before going to study physics at the University of Toronto. When he is not studying, Mark enjoys playing music (he plays the piano, the trombone, and the alto saxophone) as well as playing video games with friends.
