Manuel Ferrer

Manuel Ferrer joined Professor Ebrahim Karimi’s group as a PhD student in Fall 2019. He got his Engineering Physics degree from the Instituto Tecnològico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus (ITESM) in December 2016. In May 2019, he received his master’s degree in Nanotechnology with specialization in nanophotonics and quantum systems at ITESM, where he was awarded with the Academic Excellence Full Scholarship for his studies. During this period, Manuel focused his research on the generation and applications of structured light for optical manipulation and telecommunications. His current research interests include beam shaping, quantum foundations and quantum computing.
