Dominik Koutny
My short stay at Ebrahim’s SQO group was one of the best thing that happened to me so far. Everybody is very supportive and helpful. I enjoyed the most conversations with SQO group members about new both theoretical and experimental ideas, which helped me to improve myself a lot ?. What a wonderful three-month stay!
Dominik Koutny is a theoretical physicist from the Czech Republic interested in the theory of measurement, including compressed sensing and superresolution techniques. Dominik received his bachelor degree in the General and Mathematical Physics program at the Palacky University in Olomouc working on nonlocalizable entanglement in three-partite systems. Continuing at the Palacky university during his master, Dominik focused on quantum measurement and quantum tomography techniques and graduated suma cum laude. Dominic spent three months at the University of Ottawa as a visiting PhD student at Prof. Karimi group working on the project Compressed Sensing of Vortex Beams. Currently, Dominic is working on realistic measurement schemes combining classical and quantum estimation techniques to achieve superresolution.
