Daniel Deiros Hernández
Daniel is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in physics and electrical engineering at the University of Ottawa and is scheduled to graduate in May of 2026. He joined the group in the fall of 2024 to complete his Honours project where he simulated the effects of atmospheric turbulence on OAM for QKD. Daniel is continuing this work by seeking to rapidly generate eigenmodes for a given turbulent channel. He is also involved in the laboratory investigating quantum interference in correlated biphoton quantum walks.
Outside of school, Daniel enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and occasionally other sports with his friends, as well as playing video games, hiking, and learning about history and geography.
