Nicolas Bent

Nicolas Bent is a 5th year undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa currently studying Physics with a specialization in Mathematics. In the summer of 2012 he held an NSERC with Professor Zaynullin which focused on Reflections and Orthogonal groups. He began with Robert Boyd’s group in the winter of 2013 and went on to hold an NSERC in quantum information theory with the supervision of Ebrahim Karimi. Throughout his time in Robert Boyd’s group Nicolas has focused on quantum optics, specifically Orbital Angular Momentum of light and how this can be used in novel ways for quantum information theory. Currently Nicolas is completing his honours project on Bell’s Inequality on Continuos Bounded Variables.
