Aazad Abbas started his undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa in the Fall of 2014. He will be entering his 3rd year in his BSc with Honours in the Physics-Mathematics program in the Fall of 2016. His current work is on the p-state measurement project with Prof. Karimi, with previous and continuing work in nonlinear microscopy with Prof. Boyd’s group. As well as his passion for physics, he is an avid amateur body builder and first aid instructor. He is one of the recipients of the Stephen Odoysk Memorial Scholarship, the Yatendra P. Varshni Scholarship, and the winner of the 2015-2016 UROP poster presentation symposium.
